"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
— We Bereaved, 1929

Quote by Helen Keller

Hi All,
I've always been a huge fan of anything relating to Helen Keller and the work she has done over the years with AFB and she's always been such an inspiration to me and many others.

The quote above really resonates with me because it reminds be of "bloom where your planted".  I, too, have at times, focused on what I couldn't do instead of what I can do. It does take some time to realize that one needs to focus on the door that's open to us and not the one that is closed.
I wanted to share one of my favorite sites with you which is the American Foundation for the Blind's website. AFB provides info about low vision for individuals, family, educators and for anyone who is interested in learning more about low vision/blindness. It also has archives about Helen Keller, her writings, letters, pictures etc.

So, get educated and check it out!
