I came across this on People Magazine online and was so impressed and inspired, that I had to share with you. I know you'll be inspired too,
Last Sunday, Scotty Smiley completed the Ironman Triathon in Coeur d'Alenen, Idaho and finished about 10:20 pm as he crossed the finish line. He completed the 26.2 mile run, 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike ride with his brother-in-law, Andy Cooper at his side and with his wife Tiffany and his three sons cheering him on.

In 2005, Major Smiley was left blind and partially paralyzed by shrapnel from a suicide car bomb while serving in Northern, Iraq, He attributes his physical recovery to prayer, family support and God. Not one to give up, Smiley returned to the United States Army as the first blind active-duty officer. Smiley continues to inspire others and has climbed Mount Rainier, learned to surf and wrote a book about his journey. Smiley's Ironman journey will be the subject of an upcoming documentary November 11, 2015 at http://www.skeyestudios.com/scottysmiley/
Definitely going to catch that!
