I had a stroke, but I'm so lucky because it could have been far worse.

Hi All,

I just wanted to share with you what I've been going through since last Tuesday. While getting ready for a doctor's appointment, I had a stroke. A stroke! ME! I couldn't believe it happened! Even right now, as I struggle to type this with one hand, it happened just like you hear on the news...my whole left-side went numb. I didn't know what was happening to me and I had my sister call 911. As of today, my left-hand/forearm is frozen but I can move my fingers and the hospital provided instruction with the occupational therapist to do exercises at home.  The left-side of my face/lips is frozen but i was told all may get better over time. I can't even begin to tell you how blessed I am that the stroke didn't affect my eyesight.

In the hospital, due to stroke.

Doing my hand exercises.

Walking in the backyard to help my left-leg.

So tomorrow it'll be one week and I can't believe it!  Because I write this blog, I wanted to let my readers know what I've been going through. So, if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to ask.

So Blessed!
